Westlock Gospel Chapel

Goldwing Construction Inc. ("Goldwing") played a major role in the success of our building expansion project and the Westlock Gospel Chapel is very pleased to provide this letter of reference.

In the spring of 2008, we signed a Cost Plus Contract with Goldwing, for Project and Construction Management Services for our major Chapel building expansion. The project involved an 11,315 sq. ft. 2-storey wood frame expansion to our existing Chapel. !he final construction value was approximately 1.65 million.

Initially, Goldwing provided us with excellent advice and guidance in selecting the best form of Contract for our situation. The value of Goldwing's service became quickly' apparent, as they helped us to overcome challenges in dealing with the design professionals and the design drawings.

Throughout the process and while acting as the general contractor, Goldwing worked very diligently and cooperatively, as part of our team, to meet our objectives. We appreciated and enjoyed open lines of communication and a good working relationship. We developed a high level of mutual trust and we always felt that Goldwing had our best interests in mind.

Budget constraints were a key focus throughout the process. Fortunately Goldwing was very cooperative and helped us to complete the project well under budget. Many issues arose where other contractors may have taken advantage of the situation to increase the cost, but Goldwing was very fair and trustworthy. Their very detailed monthly budget reports were quite helpful.

At the appropriate times, Goldwing provided clear and concise information, which help us to make a multitude of informed decisions throughout the project.

As a cost saving measure ·and to promote the involvement of our Chapel members, we wished to complete certain construction items using by volunteers. We appreciate that Goldwing was willing and eager to work with us in that regard.

During construction, Goldwing kept the existing building operational, clean and safe.

Managing and coordinating the multitude of sub-trades and suppliers was an integral part of the assignment. It was important to us, that all dealings with the suppliers, sub-trades and approving authorities be carried out in a fair and reasonable manner. Goldwing handled that aspect very well.

Goldwing's Project Manger and Site Superintendent were knowledgeable, diligent and highly professional. Their efforts were key to the success of our building expansion project.

We are quite satisfied with the building expansion. It was a pleasure to work with Goldwing and we highly recommend them for other building construction projects.
