 Challenges & Achievements

  • Hotel remained operational during construction.  Coordination/safety of guests and staff.

  • Alberta weather was a challenge.  Able to adjust, and finish the project on time.

GWL Boardwalk Office Build Out

Project Summary
•    Scope of work:
o    Demolition of two existing washrooms.
o    Construction of Demising Walls, Offices, Washrooms, Boardroom.
o    Add 6 new exterior windows, door and vestibule.
o    New RTU and associated Ductwork.

Dispensaries - St. Albert

Project Summary

  • Construct pharmaceutical dispensary.

  • Fire rated shutter to allow for glass double doors to create a welcoming feeling but maintain fire rating of common corridor.

  • Naturopath treatment room.

  • Long term, repeat relationship (built a compounding lab facility for them previously.

  • Circular features (round drop-down bulkheads with feature lighting, semi-circular bulkheads over pharmacy counter line and at waiting area, rounded millwork).

Oliver Place Main Floor &

Recreation Spaces

Project Summary
•    Modernization of the main lobby.
•    Renovation of the Party Room.
•    Build out of a new Fitness Room.
•    New paint and carpet to corridors, 13 stories.
Challenges & Achievements
•    A large portion of this project was providing a fresh look to the main lobby of an occupied residential building.  Our primary focus was maintaining access, while ensuring the safety and comfort of the residents. We are proud to say we have been welcomed back to perform additional work at this property.

Westlock Aquatic Centre

Project Summary

  • Removing the epoxy paint.

  • Preparing the pool and hot tub for tiling.

  • Notable scopes of work completed were:

    • Dustless sand blaster and grinders were used to remove the epoxy paint down to concrete finish.

    • Waterproofing membrane were applied prior to tiling.

Catholic Social Services Group Homes

Project Summary

  • Interior renovation of two group homes.

  • Interior scope of work included all new custom millwork with quartz countertops, paint, flooring, lighting, custom millwork for staff office, stainless steel handrails.

  • Exterior scope consisted of new living room window, Hardie board, ledgestone, paint, and exterior concrete, stairs, pad and walkway.

Popowich Meat Company

Project Summary

  • Construction of a retail butcher shop.

  • Includes smoke collection hood, office, grease trap, grease interceptor, water heaters.

ISL Engineering

Project Summary

  • ISL was an exciting project to work on.  The space featured many unique features and high-end finishes. 

  • Electrostatic painting of the existing steel stair handrail completed on site.

  • New spaces included offices, boardroom, breakout spaces, kitchenette, and restrooms.

Wayside Inn

Project Summary

  • Constructed addition above the roof to connect the adjacent second floor of hotel suites.

  • Foundation work and construction of a concrete and cement block elevator shaft.

  • Exterior finishing work including: demolition, reconstruction of exterior columns, roof work and decorative eyebrows.

  • Phase two demolition of the existing Banquet Rooms, finishes, removal of a Stair Chair Lift.

  • Upgrades to all interior finishes.

  • Complete demolition and rebuild of the existing lounge interior.

  • Building addition for a VLT Room, mechanical upgrades, new exterior entrance features, and construction of Alberta’s first “beer wall”.

2015 - Project Profile - Day’s Inn Airpo

Day's Inn / Airport Inn

Project Summary

  • Complete removal of all interior walls (1 side of all sound walls), plumbing PTACs, exterior skin of building from 116 suites and rebuilding the inside of the building with modern finishes, spray foam insulation, walls, doors, plumbing fixtures, PTACs.

  • Three existing suites were removed to create new lobbies

  • A new elevator was added.

  • Entire exterior was upgraded to new stone, stucco and Hardie Board finishes.

  • Demolition of the existing main entrance and replacement with a new vestibule and Porte Cochere feature.

Project Summary

  • •    Selective Demolition of interior space of the existing building.
    •    Construction of office and classroom space includes, Electrical, Mechanical, Flooring, Painting, Doors and Hardware, Ceiling and millwork.
    •    Replacement of existing RTU units with new.

  • Remove existing siding and replace with lux panels.

  • Construct Architectural detail to front façade of the building.

Project Summary

  • Interior renovations: demolition and reconstruction of office space including glass wall partition systems, open work areas, multi-functional work spaces, new finishes in the kitchen and painting throughout.
